ReSP - REPAIR AND UPGRADE SHOTCRETE SLOPES
Conventional method for degraded old concrete was to rip off the shotcreted surface followed by new application of shotcrete. During this exercise, huge amount of concrete chip was produced and occupy the road during its application. ReSP is a method using steel reinforced concrete and shear bolts to cover and reinforce old shotcreted surface.

Social infrastructure will become superannuated after a couple decades. The structures constructed under the period of high economic growth have exceeded their expected life. Degradation and erosion of these structures has become a social problem. It is expected that Japanese policy will move toward maintenance and renovation phase rather than building new infrastructure. NITTOC's technology for maintenance and renovation is based on high technology for foundation.
With its research and development for new technology and utilizing our experience, NITTOC contributes for the healthy function of infrastructure in use.
